A man held on suspicion of looting a mobile phone store in the riots is, we are told, the son of a former police boss. Mark Duvall, 26, was arrested on Friday in connection with an attack on a Vodafone shop in Woolwich, South London.

His father, Len Duvall OBE, was chairman of the Met Police Authority and is leader of the Labour Group on the London Assembly. Last week, the London Assembly member for Greenwich and Lewisham called for public help to track down the rioters.

I've known a few coppers in my time, most of 'em good lads, none of them were saints, all of them despised the 'brass' as too politicised + hated Political correctness, particularly the rigorous adherence to the equality/diversity bollox.

And some of them had problem kids, as does all of our society - kid gluvs for kidz is stupidity of a special kind and all imported from Scandinavia/naive psuedo human behaviouristic psychologists, psycho-sociologist + other worldly paediatric physicians - of the EU and or a planet near, Alpha Centuri.

We make a mistake, if we think of children as: all innocence, sweetness and light.

The facts of the matter are that the propensity in children for violence and devilment is only mitigated by their actual physical properties of; height, size and weight.
In all other comparisons, they are just as savage as their fellow adult beings.

For coppers tho', it seems to run in the 'family'.

According to Mark Steyn:

In 2010, a quarter of births were to mothers born outside the UK, according to the ONS…

I suspect that, as the saying goes, we ain't seen nothing yet!
