Yesterday evening I happened to be in Trafalgar Square and saw that the fountains had been dismantled and everything that could be covered had been. An anti-G20 demo is expected this Saturday and all sorts of rich white middle class kids will turn up, having flown in from various parts of the Western world to protest against globalization or whatever takes their fancy.

Where on earth do you find people who think Cameron would be unhappy with Hannan's speech? what universe do they inhabit ?

Doesn't rack up the airmiles. Doesn't provide an opportunity to stroke their egos. No chance for a piece of security theatre. Safely ensconsed behind closed doors and a small army of security people they are free to hobnob and backscratch. They wouldn't trust doing that by video.

On the telly recently there was someone giving evidence to a select committee by video. Television stations have live via satellite link-ups every day. It's all perfectly doable.

Because so many Tories and others are so pissed off with the Green Tosser's sopping wet approach ..... when they see someone who has a pair, they think that's what leadership is about and have realised they were sold an empty box.

I think they should all meet on one of our aircraft carriers... Plenty of room, they can all fly in and we can park it in the channel for security - Job done!

Well that implies he is 100 % happy with Hannon`s speach.
So that`s an EU issue, in an EU place, by an EU politician who is EUrosceptic within his party doing to Gordon Brown what Cameron himself is not noted for, by as politician as young and upcomimg as himself in a form of media new to mankind.
The spiv will either have to ignore him or embrace him.
