At the very least the family would be wanting to help keep him alive or take him to hospital.

Basicly you are right. The video material is clearly not in chronological order. But that is what the Channel 4 narrative suggests. The statement that the boy already might have been dead at one point implies that they wanted to say that it is - at this point - not clear whether he is dead or not. Which means that they hypothetically have ordered this sequence before the visit at the hospital.

The video is fishy.
The CHannel 4 narrative is complete crap.

But they now have the live stream up - without any comment. Perhaps a first step to becoming grown-up journalists

I posted this just recently and got a somewhat non-committal response:

The reason why I asked whether EURef would engage the MSM is that EURef's review of the MSM's collusion with terrorists in the recent Lebanon demonstrated the extent of the collapse in moral and journalistic standards within the MSM. In short, EURef actually took all the strands and tied them together. Pallywood and its willing accomplices in the BBC and the wider media are now attempting the same exercise in mass mendacity as was practised in the Lebanon.

In 2006, there were only a few websites (bloggers) on to it. More now are aware of it, and are pitching in. Noticably, the UN resolution seems not to have "stuck" ... the difference no seems to be that the UN is becoming even more noticeably partisan, but also seems to be losing its credibility and what little authority it had. For my part, I'm writing a book ... I have a living to make. Qana took a huge amount of work and extracted a heavy toll on me personally. It did not generate any income. Therefore, as long as the US blogs and others are pitching in, we'll continue to take a "watching brief" and make the occasional comment.

Mads Gilbert is all over the media in Germany. There is not a single newpaper which hasn't published an interview with him. And they are swallowing all he gives them.

The ridiculious thing he repeats telling is that there are only 2% (or whatever) Hamas gunmen among his patients. It may be so that only 2 out of hundred do wear uniform. But it is ridiculious to think that all not-uniform-wearing persons in Gaza are non-Hamas.

See the CBS video and the not-uniform-wearing but ak47-wearing men in the hospital.

What is the German blogosphere's reaction to this? And is it having any effect?

The media is going for it ... but even the Mossies aren't buying it. This from a Bradford forum:

A sincere, active brother from Bradford has informed MPACUK that the MP for Bradford, Gerry Sutcliffe, has had only 2 complaints about Israel! MPACUK asks - are the Muslims in Bradford asleep!? Bradford has the fourth highest proportion of Muslims in England. Over 100,000 Muslims, yet only 2 complaints against Israel! Absolutely disgraceful.

Gerry Sutcliffe is meeting the Foreign Office today. Ring him now before 2:30pm today on 01274 400 007 and ask him to condemn the Israeli invasion and attacks on Gaza. Start complaining now.

But even if you didn't do that its still not too late. Here are some of the things that the sincere, active brother from Bradford has suggested that Bradford Muslims can do. Bradford Muslims if you care about justice, please heed his words:

"There were 3000 people protesting in the Bradford March, yet how many have contacted their MP or MEPs?

This Saturday, 10th Jan, are the surgeries of Terry Rooney and Gerry Sutcliffe. The people of Bradford should go to the surgeries and express their opinions, if possible sign petitions and present them.

It is the job of MPs to represent their British constituents not the interests of Israel, many MPs are putting the views of Israel over and above the views of British people - is this democracy??

MPACUK should ask Muslims around the UK to do this in all cities, this should be happening across the country.

Frankly I'm not monitoring German blogs that closely. The good blogs I visit regularly haven't caught it yet. But most of these good blogs are slow-paced: They publish longer pieces after some days.

I think the 'fastest' blog which is focussing on jihadist and islamist events and developements may be

AP headlines its story as "Gaza, Israel ignore UN call for cease-fire". http://news.aol.com/article/israel-gaza-conflict/232890
Don't know who Gaza is, as there is no such state but, at least there is a slight acknowledgement that there is another side to this conflict. I wonder if they are a bit worried about all those complaints in 2006. Probably not. The MSM is convinced they will ride their growing unpopularity out.

PS Do I take it that the 3,000 demonstrators in Bradford (more than in London where it is always up to 2,000) were not actually from that fair city? Just a thought. PDT_Armataz_01_28

History still hangs pretty heavily over Germany despite the passing of the years & the change in generations...that's my take; maybe wrong.

My take is that the violent demonstations in Europe and in the US, manned mostly by Muslims and far left fellow travelers, have undermined the usual sympathetic response the the poor oppresed Palestinians. Norway is an overt supporter of Hamas, and yet Oslo was trashed yesterday night. Firebombs in Oslo! Never thought I'd see the day.

sonomaca,

Yes I think you are right. Most of the pro-Hamas comments on the news sites are written in such execrable language that it just cannot be Swedes (or Brits for that matter) who've written them. If it is, God help us, then schooling is even worse than I ever imagined.

Richard,

Spot on with your latest posting ("Even the brothers..."). I think the forensic dissection of the Qana story and the fact that the blogosphere has taken up the challenge has made a difference. Not even from FOX News would you have seen a report like this in 2006:
'Humanitarian aid'?

And just because this picture was on the same site, and I'm not sure it has been published in Britain, here is Lauren Booth in Gaza in September, collecting her meager rations while languishing in the Mediterranean concentration camp:

Amazing, is it not, how quickly the UN reacts to the situation in Gaza? Think about it. Even if there were all-out war, even if it involved Hezbollah in Lebanon too, what is there to really lose? The hope for a peaceful two-state solution? That's not going to happen. Hezbollah gaining even more power than it already has in Lebanon? Doubtful. Israel losing its standing in the world? As if that's even of much value. But wait. What about the Darfur conflict in Sudan? The rising tensions between India and Pakistan? The fact that Bolivia is falling apart at the seams? Is there no conflict of equal or greater value than the lop-sided skirmish going on in Gaza? Is there no conflict as equally deserving of a UN Security Council resolution? Or at least some sort of resolution or press statement from one of the UNs divisions? I would just like to know when the fate of several thousand Gazan Palestinians, whom the Arabs couldn't really care less about, gathered to itself such power that it could alter the very fate and fabric of the world if it is not stopped by a premature cease-fire.
