"In tough economic times, the flimsiness of the environmental movement comes to the fore," writes Melissa Clouthier for Pajamasmedia. Environmentalism, she goes on to write, is the luxury of those without more pressing concerns - like survival. In places like China, where their government worries about feeding 1.3 billion people, environmental concerns take a back seat to human concerns like food, water, and jobs.

It wouldn't do for the Telegraph group to call its advertisers charlatans, would it?

The Telegraph has become a total shambles these days, it is "celebrity" led like the rest. All the stale news that is fit to junk, it not even a decent fish and chip paper. The honourable exception seems to be Mr. Booker, long may he continue.

Don't you think the climate change bubble is a euphemism for big old power politics and energy security?

I'm amazed nobody has begun to argue this yet, but then again it is still early days. It remains to be seen what happens first: uprisings against the European Union because of zero representation and maximum assjackery or war with Russia?

PDT_Armataz_01_40 "War footing for climate change", oh yeah!

Can't they each be forced to assign themselves a unique name, whatever it is as long as it isn't f****** Guest?

...thanks for the link to John Daly's site...the luxury of environmentalism is rapidly being reassessed. For another antipodean, sceptical view of global warming please see http://mickysmuses.blogspot.com

I hope it is useful. I followed his research for some years before his unfortunate death and although he had connections with Greening the Earth which was funded by the fuel industries I have always found his data to be presented impartially.

What I found particularly interesting was that he had visited and researched many of the sites which the IPPC rely on for their Earthbound data on global warming, examined data from the day they were set up and was able to find reasons for their unreliability and the recorded increases in temperature which had no effect on global mean temperatures.
