Swords for falling upon, for use by persons of honour?

None of which would be drawn from its sheath and used, because there aren't any individuals of the quality of Rommel amongst them. Oh great Rome! Give me but one legion and I would cleanse the Stygian Stables that are Brussels and that other place, whose name escapes me for the moment. Nay, not one legion; one cohort would do. They'd never stand! The cowards. PDT_Armataz_01_33

The Daily Express is conducting a poll on leaving. Not an impartial guide but currently 92% want out.

Maybe during the Euro elections next year we can start burning the ring of stars in the streets?

Extra carriages to be added to the Brussels - Strasbourg choo choo to allow even more paperwork to be shunted around. This has the added advantage that more plebs could be employed as porters. Consideration should also be given to adding another dining car given the employment creation possibilities for chefs and waiters.

How about a separate train for MEPs to the plebs when they commute from Brussels to Strasbourg and back... Oh no, wait, they've already got that! PDT_Armataz_01_13

12. To vote for laws that you will later denounce in a well-remunerated newspaper column.

Just change signing in to signing on and I'll go along with that. PDT_Armataz_01_34

The Brussels Duty Free Shop, to either stock or be able to source any product, from jets to tea spoons.

All expenses to be self certified.

Daily attendance allowance to include all family members and distant relations, even ones that may have died centuries ago, includeing pets and no need to "clock in".

No limit on staff allowances, family members are permissable, as are people you may have met/passed in the street.

All outside contracting work, that doesn't pay a backhander, must be "advertised" to other MEP's, as if you can't find a backhander they certainly will.

MEP's to be exempt from the public smokeing ban and an unlimited supply of 1000 euro notes, to be used for lighting cigars in restuarants.

But as the limos whiz by and the sturdy yeoman tilling his field looks up how can he doff his cap or tug his forelock due to the heavy tint on the windows. I mean they could be in the process of proskinesis and discover not only was it not an MEP but the much more delectable Jordan. Who I am pretty sure is not an MEP but definitely worth rising for!

The man that lives in a glass house, should take his cap off in the basement!
