McNulty: A Singularly Foolish Twerp

Postby The Huntsman » Fri Jul 11, 2008 7:20 pm

Tony McNulty, Counter-terrorism Minister, responds to more trenchant and devastating criticism from Eliza Manningham-Buller, lately director-general of the MI5, of Brown's plan to detain terrorists without trial for 42 days by suggesting she has little experience of such matters. That's rich from a man whose only job outside government was as principal lecturer in organisational behaviour at the University of North London.

According to Guido, McNulty attended this school. http://www.oldsalvatorians.com/ Self explanatory really!

Shurely he is going to be in trouble with the 'Sisterhood', Harriet H and her friends. The former Director he is insulting is . . . . female ! God help him if Gordon McStalin goes and Harriet becomes PM. End of his career, methinks.

Quite right too. But why is it that we have created a system where we are governed by so many people who have such little experience of life outside the political bubble?

In other words you agree with what McNulty said and, I assume, think that we would all do so but for pernicious political correctness. Or is there some other point to your comment?

You prove the point, Helen. Whether the criticism is justified or not any criticism of women by men in our society brings an immediate emotional confrontation and little to no rational discussion. Sadly the result of this is that a lot a behaviour that would be childish from a man has to be accepted as 'adult' from a woman.

Quite right Sandy. That comment by Ivan was stupid and emotional. Just could not take the truth which the posting so clearly PDT_Armataz_01_22 said that Lady Manningham-Buller knew whereof she spoke and Tony McNulty did not. I am so glad you agree with my point on that.
