The "train of shame"

Postby RAENORTH » Sun Jun 01, 2008 1:16 am

“After years of being accused of riding the Brussels gravy train, members of the EU parliament are about to step aboard a real one,” writes Nicola Smith of The Sunday Times.

Long awaited, a new Train à Grande Vitesse (TGV) service has been launched between Brussels and Strasbourg. But, in true style, when it comes to transferring MEPs (and their staff) between the two cities for the monthly meetings in Strasbourg, a special – i.e., exclusive train is being laid on.

We are a satellite state of the Greater European Empire, ruled by a supreme government in Brussels. We owe this government neither loyalty nor obedience. It is not our government. It is theirs. It is our enemy.

If there was a physical product, a car, a plane say, then transport is obviously required. But with the EU the 'product' is entirely intellectual, there is nothing produced by the whole construct that could not be put a web site (with appropiate logins).

The hegemony of the Unions in 70s collapsed in the 80s in a way that took most by surprize. I think the elites have not understood yet that they have lost the monopoly on information, and thus the gravy-train founded on the monopoly has left the tracks, even if the buffet car 20 coaches back hasn't noticed yet. What will be challenged by the peoples of Europe is the right of the EU to legislate. The rest of Europe will have to resort to civil disobedience and riots and things, as will we unless our blithering judiciary understand just what the jury offers them, the safety valve on rebellion.

I beg to differ. "They" are absolutely scared rigid of not being in control of the information in society.

That is one of the reasons why they are pushing so hard for all of this surveillance stuff. Cameras, phones, emails, website visits, ANPR, Nationalisation of Health Records, ID Register (and all the updating that is essential to avoid the civil penalties), the great firewall of GB (currently known as the IWF Watch List), etc, etc. Part of all of those schemes is to ensure that "they" restore "their" "rightful" monopoly on all information.

Nice piece of kit, that. How many of these trips are they running a month? Each train could carry ,depending on seating two to three hundred with 158K as the numerator...
