I was really worried until I looked out the window this morning – and then I realised I'd got it completely wrong about global warming. This is quite the best evidence you can get that we are about to fry. All my doubts and uncertainties have vanished.

Mind you, the snow hasn't reached London yet, so it hasn't officially happened. But then, according to the Met Office, this hasn't happened. This is actually rain you are seeing.

Oh, dear me, Dr North...

You have it terribly wrong! Don't you know that Global Warming has been superceded by 'Climate Change'? Now ANY state of the weather is proof that you must pay an increased tax burden, including an 'unusual' run of average weather...

http://www.numberwatch.co.uk/warmlist.htm refers....

Go and turn your lights out for 2 hours as a penance, and recite the Global Warming Creed, which I have appended below:

The AGW Creed

appointed to be read at all environmental conferences

I believe in Global Warming,
which will destroy heaven and earth unless we change our ways.
I believe in Al Gore,
Who conceived the Internet
and the hockey-stick graph, born of Professor Mann.
It suffered under McIntyre and McKitrick,
was crucified, disproven, and was buried.
It was cast on the reject pile.
On the third day It rose again.
It was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science,
and is displayed in a prominent position in all IPCC literature.
It will apply again as soon as global temperatures start rising.
I believe in the CO2 tipping point,
the IPCC Assessment Reports,
a CO2 sensitivity figure of about 3 W/sq M,
the accuracy of GCMS,
an anthropic cause for all climate variation after 1970,
and grants everlasting.

AMEN.

Oh to be in England now that springtime is here?!

When I was a young un - I used to be dragged off to the East coast for Easter hols [north east wind up yer cheater - a 'nad' freezer] - I've had snow, sun, biting cold and beautiful warm days on the Yorks coast at Easter - this is not unusual - it's bloody normal.

Luv it.

Snow? I'm sat on my patio with a t-shirt on - I do like the south of England sometimes.

Thanks for that link....

Quote:
Bjorn Inge Vik, a senior analyst at Point Carbon, insisted that the ETS was still working. “The main reason that emissions are down is the mild winter and the deteriorating economy towards the end of last year,” he told EurActiv.

Im no expert but hasnt this been factored in?I mean if we are having warmer winters isn't this bound to cut emissions as we go along the predicted computer model path, this looks like it needs a serious "tweak" somewhere PDT_Armataz_01_22

Sorry forgot, we also get colder winters now too, in Europe and US anyway but everwhere else it is scorchio.......

This is getting all a tad confusing if I am honest.

C'mon Richard, get on message. Snow this time of year is an extreme weather event and proves AGW.

Indeed. But please spread it around wherever you see fit.

Since this whole sorry proposal was an obvious semi-religious scam from the start, I was naturally attracted to it, and at one point harboured ambitions of being Pope. If I specified all the doctrine, I could simply attach my bank sorting code to the collection plate.... but unfortunately Al Gore pipped me to the post.

Never mind. Humans being what they are, there will always be another opening. Somewhere in the EU, probably, although local government holds out a lot of opportunity for straightforward theft. Spanish, I think....
