Particularly of the BE2a 'fighter', which is really an artillery spotter with bolted on machine gun.

Enjoy yourselves. 'Himself' is very jealous. The high-spot here is waiting for the arrival of the two fire-spotting aircraft that get posted here each Summer. God knows how they keep them in the air, they must be museum exhibits themselves!!

In case you're interested these are the fire-spotters. We only get the Canadairs if there is an actual fire, and the helicopters with a 'Big Bucket' suspended.

That's an SE5a not a BE2a??

Gorblimey guv! I hadn't realized BE2 s knocked down 6 Zeppelins.
Biggles was always most rude about them.

One of the times I've been there I was amused and impressed by the size of the Fairey Gannet. Folded up it looks ridiculous.

I wonder how much the fuel in the Victor tanker is worth.

Sorry about the size of that, first time I've posted an image, and you can't get a B-36 in thumbnail. Other types left as an exercise for the reader.
