Well our lapdog media on this side of the Pond are doing the same regarding flooding in the Midwest last spring. The Army Corps of Engineers manages several flood control dams for the Red River valley. In direct contrast to OTHER water management bodies who recognized that last winter's record snowfall would mean massive runoff of melt water and drew down their reservoirs accordingly, the Corps kept their reservoirs near capacity until the melt started. They then had to dump that water unimpeded to the rivers downstream, resulting in massive damage to cities along the river, as well as destruction of tens of thousands of acres of farmland. Checked your food prices lately? That is the result of last fall's harvest, which came in drastically short of normal.

There is speculation that the Corps did what it did at the behest of the Obama Administration, with the intent of creating food shortages.

Never under-estimate stupidity ... especially where public administration is involved.
