The US media is full of reports of a "freak" snow storm pounding Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states, dumping over two feet of snow in some places. It left a trail of havoc behind it, two million people without power and at least three dead. Even as WUWT was forecasting earliest snow for NYC, since the American Civil War, Governors were declaring states of emergency in New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and parts of New York.

So the propaganda machine is surviving on a measly £billion, poor dears. PDT_Armataz_01_36 PDT_Armataz_01_36

Re solar subsidy cut:
Excellent karma here. Those greedy enough to grab government moolah for solar panels have taken out substantial loans against the certainty of income. The government will renege sooner rather than later and I can't think of anyone in the whole clusterfq who doesn't deserve their incoming.
Sewage works hits windfarm.

Could solar be the low hanging fruit sacrificed to try and keep wind turbine projects on the go? They are still hooked on rewiring the national grid for smart meters too.

As a former 'warmista' who has successfully transitioned from the 'cave' I find it all marvelous entertainment...

It's all the 'wriggling' from the cognitive dissonance that I find so interesting.

and funny.......I like being the devout convert.....

Are you sure? I don't know how relevant it might be but the article doesn't distinguish between new and existing contracts. Perhaps current installations have some kind of guarantee? In the long run, though, I don't know what that might be worth as I'm sure that any government we have could easily establish a suitable 'legal' framework in which it could renege.

I agree with your sentiments however.

One of the few occasions when the MSM has shown an interest in the dogma, incompetence, greed & malice of the Warmistas. Already being called Mullergate. Judy Curry is no "nasty sceptic" (she's a luke-warmer forced to re-consider her life's work as a "climate scientist" by the Climategate revelations). But she's not about to be taken as a Patsy by the likes of Muller.

This may get interesting.......

Dr Judith Curry is trusting publicity to save her from academic politics, .... brave.

£1.230 billion?

What a waste - on the one hand the government insists that they have no money and yet...............this is nothing other than taxpayer fraud - any politician who excuses this massive con is encouraging this great swindle and thereby is an advocate of criminal activity.

The EU's hands are all over this and chief conspirators are the councils and scam merchants in Quangos and 'government' funded NGOs and consultancies, what TF is going on?

Muller's PR exercise was already falling apart at the seams.

It is perhaps a measure of how the scare has attenuated that so few people took any notice in the first place ... and how little it matters now. This is angel demography.

Muller was either dishonest or incompetent. Climate Scientist Katharine Hayhoe is another who falls into that category.

Why claim things that can be so easily disproved? Is it because most people are utterly gullible?

Do these have to be mutually exclusive?

Considering it took four decades to expose Piltdown Man I think you're probably right. Maybe things happen a little faster these days. I hope so.

BTW, I'd love to have been responsible for that hoax. Ace!
