At a lot of shoots they turn up their noses at over/unders and you certainly wouldn't be invited back if you turned up with a pump or an auto. This would not be considered a sporting weapon or one that a gentleman would class as a shotgun at all and would be quite beyond the pale. Even wildfowlers would baulk at it and there is something comforting about shooting with people with guns you can see broken.

Do they make it in a 20 bore version for the ladies, well professional Russian ladies or maybe Russian professional ladies?

They would be very handy for shooting at things hanging from lampposts - after we have hung things from lampposts. PDT_Armataz_01_25

We can't have the public defending themselves now, can we? Have to take everything off them that could be used as a weapon.

Not as nicely made as a Purdey but wow!

There is a type of shotgun round, developed for crowd control etc. I have seen it demonstrated.
The shot is contained in a fabric pouch a bit like a tea bag which has a short ribbon attached to it to keep it going straight.
At 50 yards you could decide whether to aim for a knee or an elbow. Anybody receiving a hit would not be thinking about anything else for a while. With something as rapid firing as this, a relative handful of police/troops could knock the guts out of a demonstration in no time - and do it sub-lethally.

The experimental rounds I saw fired were thought of as a possible substitute for the baton rounds used in riot control - but the guns for those only fire single shots.

The difference is that the Russian is mad ... ... ... er ... scratch that. No difference.

The bigger problem may be getting them delivered.

No clay would be safe if I got my hands on one of those.

A no frills weapons system; does what it says on the box or your money back. Just like the AK-47. And no doubt the AA-12 will be around just as long. The Russkies are nothing if not cash conscious and pragmatic. The Yanks spent miilions researching and developing a pen that writes in zero gravity. The Russians use pencils tied to string.

interesting toy. unfortunately unaccessible to civilians. slowly but surely weapons are being removed from the hands of citizens. even in switzerland police is actively working at it. a waste of time of course, considering the millions of guns which are already in the hands of people, but despite a relatively liberal gun law, the cops do their best to deny permissions and make a lot of questions and send a lot of form which according to the written law should not be asked and filled.

however, as i said, lots of guns here, and that might be one of the reason why taxes are still quite low here, and why government is still rather light handed, relatively speaking of course.
