Libya's rebels appeared to have abandoned the country's most important oil terminal today in a chaotic headlong retreat from government forces. The retreat came despite renewed Western air strikes around the town of Ras Lanuf and as coalition allies considered the possibility of arming the rebel forces.

Cameron is not only a moron, he is a very dangerous moron.

Someone should remind Cameron what happened when the Americans decided to help the Afghan Mojahedin. I can't believe he even considering this.

I am beginning to think that a dacha by the Black Sea would make a nice retirement home. The democracy might be compromised a bit, but at least the government would be a long way away, and at least when it opens its mouth it says something that occasionally makes sense, and what is more it is loyal to Russia and Russians.

How refreshing...

Oh and where does a fellow go for a sensible news programme these days?

Russia Today of course..

Guess we should hand over the ark royal and all those harriers. At least then they'd see some use.

Just what a conflagration in the desert needs more fuel to the flames.

He and Hungarian Garcon should be removed/impeached/shot - for even considering arming these Islamic Zealots.

In the end, I think I prefer old Muammar.

Once again the British, not just Cameron, have been shown to be completely inept at foreign policy.

When Gadders gets the chance we can all expect a little or a lot of revenge. Thank you idiot boy Shameron for involving us in thiis bullshit. Like you didn't get enough problems from Liebour to deal with you have to go create this one too. Muppet!

Isn't it about time a statement was issued by Israel condemning the "disproportionate" use of overwhelming NATO power being used to maintain a simple "no fly zone"? PDT_Armataz_02_32

The globalists have been funding Al Qaeda's business programme for years.

Al Qaeda's "most wanted" Anwar Al-Awalaki invited to dinner at Pentagon shortly after 9/11.

One of the goals of all this funding is to shape and shove the food "revolutions" across the Middle East into a radical Sunni alliance to support a war against Shiite Iran.

If all this is supposedly about protecting innocent citizens and he's going to arm rebels, what about the citizens that support Gaddafi? Are the coalition going to stand by while they are killed, do they not matter because they support Gaddafi.

Is Cameron, Hague, Clinton & all the rest that stupid that they believe there won't be consequences for these actions. Cameron, most of all, is putting every one of us at risk all because he wants to be seen as a world leader, at something.

I only hope that when the backlash comes, which I don't doubt it will, it is aimed personally at Cameron, Obama, Sarkosy & Brussels.

Clegg on his first major speech on foreign policy. He said, Libya could become an Iranian style Islamic state after Colonel Gaddafi is toppled, he ruled out any form of mission creep that would involve the west attempting to influence the way the country is governed.

Mr Clegg, said he would maintain this vew even if that means the creation of a hardline Islamist regime on the edge of Europe.

I'm lost for words on this.

I thought the depths of ineptitude were name 'Brown'.

Seems like it comes under many guises..... Cameron, Clegg, Hune...... whatever these people touch turns into a poisoned chalice. Shame it's the British public that have to drink from it.

Gaddafi knows this is Sarko being all colonial and helping his mate Chad.
So burning banlieux and bombs in Paris I'd guess.
