Rajendra wants to send mirrors into space. A better idea might be to send the old pornographer into space himself, permanently (joined by Louise Gray, of course). The hot air saved would bring the temperature down a degree or too, especially if they should be joined by the lost soul who wrote this tripe ...

Don't forget that we the taxpayers are kindly donating £10 million to this institute, to deliver this kind of tosh. I am sure we are all very grateful to our masters for supporting such a worthy enterprise.

Has DfID finished their due diligence before releasing that money?

DFID have also announced plans to provide TERI with up to £10 million over the next five years. This funding will help to bring electricity and clean energy to millions of the world’s poorest people by supporting renewable energy projects in India. As is routine, DFID is undertaking a full institutional assessment of TERI as part of their due diligence process before releasing funds.

I've had enough of this. I demand my right of equal access to the atmosphere. Who will join me in mass protests (non-violent, of course -- hide the fire extinguishers) in Westminster, Brussels and Strasbourg? Time for us, the atmosphere-deprived, silent majority, to stand up, be counted, and make our feelings known. Give us more atmosphere.

What do we want? More atmosphere!
When do we want it? NOW!

Some 60 years ago Buck Rodgers saved the world from a mad idiot who had launched satellites with mirrors and was gleefully burning up the worlds cities, it made one hell of a weapon, but, back then it was more sophisticated, it had a big adjustable lens in the front, zap, zap, zap, inform North Korea anyone ?

Blimey!

What a load of old cobblers.
But then, AGW is fictional science, this is a mirror on their souls, though, the laws of physics dictate: a mirror cannot reflect a black hole.

Will we look at our human year carbon consumption figures as a nation or will they go right down to individual people? My wife is forever complaining about my flatulent habits and I'm worried that I've already used my carbon lifetime allowance! Will I be put down like an old dog?

What a load of tosh, so this 'think' tank wants developed countries to force their citizens to live in a zero carbon emission state - they don't make it clear if we are going to be allowed to burn wood / peat to stay warm. We should count ourselves lucky they haven't figured out how to make us live in a negative emission state, although maybe if we transferred the contents of our bank accounts (after mortgaging any assets we own) that could assuage our guilt enough to permit us to continue in a state where we continue to exhale nasty CO2?

How on Earth does emissions = access? We all have equal access to the atmosphere and to pretend otherwise is potty. Nomadic african tribes have no lesser access to the atmosphere than I do. Al Gore has no greater access to it than me. That is such a bizarre way for them to frame the argument. There is no scientific basis for that claim. The inequality at the heart of it all is wealth (which we have now had admitted by some senior IPCC people) but they refrain from painting it honestly because the best solution to financial inequality is trade.

Warmists love statistics....well what are the odds that two years running, on different dates, just as their annual binge gets under way, we should be suffering freezing temperatures and loads of global warming, at exactly the same time....

I'd say that there is only one force that can arrange such a perfect confluence of events and I'm very glad he is on our side and no doubt he is still very pissed off with the unbelievable arrogance of these pygmies.

Yes, thanks be to ''im-up-there' wot warms & cools the planet at 'is whim', we have two freezy winters in a row....but our nutter warmy friends have realised one error in their ways & have abjured cold northern cities for the delights of balmy, & soon to be barmy, Cancun; some doubtless wagging their heads & wondering why they didn't think about that last year....but all's well etc. & one may be sure that a jolly good time will be had by all...and for FREE.
Why are so many of you whingeing about a paltry £10m so heartfeltly donated to the crooked TERI....you simply don't understand how great their suffering is, nor how great their need PDT_Armataz_01_31

Twenty activists are accused of conspiracy to trespass on private property. They were arrested last Easter before the group were able to carry out their plan to force E.ON's coal plant at Ratcliffe-on-Soar to shut down for a week.

James Hansen flew in from America as a star witness for the defence.
Hansen told the court the UK was the world's biggest carbon polluter on a per person basis since industrialisation so the onus was on the UK to lead the way in phasing out coal plants.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2 ... ss-charges

So a group of eco terrorists with plans to attack a UK power station are supported by the CAGW crowd, and the Guardian portrays the story as entirely acceptable!

Lock the bastards up and only let them out when they grow up and face reality.

Nope - I've read it three times and the only thing I understand is that we're being conned and it's going to be expensive!

By the way the thought of Rajendra and Louise 'Lost in Space' together is both appealing and creepy......

So... an elite gang of rich teflon-coated fools gathers together:
Quote:
There are already low expectations for the latest round of UN talks being held in a luxury beach resort on the east coast of Mexico. More than 190 countries are meeting at the heavily-guarded Moon Palace Hotel...

And comes up with this:
Quote:
1. Putting mirrors in space to reflect sunlight
2. Covering Greenland in a massive blanket so it does not melt
3. Sprinkling iron filings in the ocean to "fertilise" algae so that it sucks up CO2
4. Seeding clouds means that less sunlight can get in
5. Artificial "trees" that suck carbon dioxide out of the air
6. Painting roofs white to reflect sunlight
7. Man-made volcanoes that spray sulphate particles high in the atmosphere to scatter the sun's rays back into space

How about this:
8. Volcanic Heat Chambers covered with a blanket, sprinkled with iron, with a roof of mirrors and a pump to suck all CO2 out of this loony bunch.

...

All those proposals, show perfectly just how far off the wall they all are. They make David Icke appear to have the wisdom of Salomon. That any sane person gives them the time of day, let alone all our governing class, should terrify us.
