There are some things in life you never thought you would see. This is one of them.

To be fair, the man was only reporting, not necessarily applauding or advocating. However, the selectivity or what have you of the report comes suspiciously close. But I guess he's just a dummy.

All the same, just to be safe, for the damage he could do to your reputation I think you'd be best advised to hire a hitman.

Looks like this is the "trial-teach" part of his interview. What for? For a university post as Course Director in a wholly new Masters Degree course in Mass Deception!

"..the only thing it lacks is poets."

Well, that looks like a challenge to me. I suggest we each write a little poem about the Lisbon Treaty, and Richard picks the best.

Not me though, I can rhyme neither tyranny nor bureaucracy.

Parallel universe, for a moment, I thought. Then I saw David Cameron had been made prime minister ...

It's the world turned upside down: very appropriately from the University of Sydney at the top of the world (from the Aussies POV)?

Off topic but I see the last two James Delingpole Telegraph blog posts have mysteriously been removed today. Even a google news search reveals the Oxford Union debate missing. I read them earlier before they disappeared and it nothing We're not used to.

Richard North(the real one)
I'd be very worried, the EU have obviously appointed a europhile doppleganger with your identity to remove a threat...if you suddenly disappear,we know who did it,they must be very worried by your reputation by now.....I suspect the same sinister forces at work that were responsible for Farage's air crash too....the plot thickens.

How much is a telephone call to Oz? Soooooo tempting to pick up the phone and put him right.

And what on earth has happened to Australia? The Oz I knew intimately, if briefly, in the 1980s would have known exactly what to make of the EU. Mind you, the 80s Oz wouldn't have arrested Lewis Hamilton and impounded his car for doing tyre-smoking stunts in the street. They'd have given him a round of applause and a police escort back to his hotel.

That Richard North was quoting Mr Ottone who said:-
Quote:
The welcome address was given by the NSW Consul General of Spain, Gerardo Bugallo Ottone, to mark Spain's presidency of the EU.

Mr Ottone said it was significant that no member states wanted to quit the EU and there was a long list of would-be members.

The article is still awaiting its first comments. It will take someone more articulate that me to make polite but forceful comments regarding no member state wants to leave the EU. PDT_Armataz_01_13
