Three days - that's all it's taken for The Daily Scarygraph to put the Lord Pearson on the front page. "UKIP leader Lord Pearson claimed £100,000 allowances for £3.7m London home" the headline screams, telling us that this was "on the basis that his £3.7 million house in London was his second home while also owning a 12,000-acre estate with servants in Scotland."

Good - I am glad that the Tories are scared. It shows that they fear a genuine Eurosceptic party and what that could do to their vote.

I hope UKIP are the external force tha thas to act on the Tories to get them to see sense.

The Hung Parliament Media narrative is aimed at stopping Cameron. It was not intended to boost UKIP. So the ''starlings'' are now being flown around to push UKIP down a bit. This is mere fine tuning. They want to collapse the Conservative Party and keep Cameron out of power. That is all. They don't want to encourage another bunch of eurosceptics in the process. The Hung Parliament was aimed at boosting Lib Dem support.

Your conspiratorial inventiveness seems to know no bounds.

The Commons and then the Lords expenses scandals were hot news months ago. Pearson wasn't singled out as a baddy then, when the whole lot were under scrutiny. I don't recall he was mentioned.

When I saw the article in the DT, the first thing which occurred was that this was an obvious attempt to splash him with mud which wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been made leader of UKIP.

Tap, if "they" are capable of implementing such elaborate plots, and stopping in the middle to fine tune them, then as the old sci-fi cliche goes, "Your puny weapons can have no effect, resistance is futile earthlings".

I find it easier to believe that a lot of people inclined to vote Tory are getting fed up with Cameron for several reasons, mainly of his own making.

His handling of the referendum on the LT, which was slippery, and doesn't promise much.

Nothing convincing on mass uncontrolled immigration.

Deafening silence on Climategate. A muddled environmental policy which goes along with AGW.

NHS reform?

Sorting out the constitutional mess Nu Labour created?

And so on. What are the Tories going to do differently from the current mob, apart from presentation and tinkering round the edges? They want to ignore all sorts of problems, get into office and muddle along. They've been a lousy opposition and have ignored open goals. The plan seems to be to win by default. If that's the case, it's no surprise their lead is fragile.

Let me see if I follow this:

Jacqui Smith stayed in her sister's spare room in London, which she called her main home, so that her four bedroom house in the Midlands was her second home. This meant she could furnish that house at our expense, it was wrong, she was a corrupt trougher and quite right too.

Lord Pearson claims that the flat he has in London was his second home, and his main home is his 12,000 acre estate in Scotland. Well, what's the problem with that? The pied a terre in London is clearly not his main home, just as her sister's boxroom was not Jacqui Smith's main home. The Telegraph has made itself look stupid.

Especially as anyone who knows Pearson even slightly knows full well that his estate really is his main home, to which he returns at every opportunity.

Ah yes, but you cannot gainsay these "highly" experienced and clever journalists, they know it all, don't they. The article was probably written by a teenage moron anyway, it is the ex-torygraph when all is said and done. You expect them to cover "climategate", against all their ideas don't you know. When one sees the scurrilous rubbish in the Telegraph day after day trying to do down the UKIP whilst ignoring more likely problems in the Con-spiracy Party, it is no wonder that people are stopping buying the rag - at least, I have.

Good news indeed.

Let's see how the Green Tosser explains away this move.
