Thanks for this, I really appreciate material such as this.

I am studying the EU next semester at uni'. Being not an EU fan I am looking forward to head butting the very pro Europe lecturers and tutors in the school. As well as studying IR I study history and I think this is from where my disquiet at the project stems. My lecturers seem to have no understanding of human nature, geography, or history. And if you deviate from the party line you are virtually a war monger. Or worse a Little Englander; pointing out this little island generated global trade for over 300 years and we only lost our way when fell into Europe's influence.

Sounds like your lecturers are 'pure of heart' which is the Socialist excuse for lying through their teeth. I for one would be very interested to hear how your uni. sees the EU. I'm sure that discussion here on the essays they give you will be helpful, .... but watch out for John Archer!

I thought the comments in the Globe & Mail were as thought-provoking as the article itself.

A bit of wishful thinking there on the part of the author methinks, but I think it gives an idea of what the view from outside the UK is of UK politics.
