We have received an e-mail from Dr Anthony Coughlan of The National Platform in Ireland, whom we have mentioned once or twice before on this blog. (Well, a few more times than that.) Dr Coughlan thinks the battle for Ireland, a.k.a. the second Irish Referendum, scheduled for October 2, can be won and suggests some ways in which supporters from other countries can help.

After the Irish first rejection to the collective asimilation, the Euroborg now view the Irish as the Jews of Europe...sort of Lepercohens.

Is it wise of us in the UK to get involved in Irish politics ? The relationship between the two countries has matured to respect for each, but I`m sure the Irish have sensibilities about how they look in connection to their big neighbour.

I'm following this blog carefully. I'm American with many friends in other countries--I'm sending this message to them to encourage the Irish according to "Letter from Ireland" suggestions. The Irish "Saved" Western Civilization in the middle ages--I pray they can pull it off again by defeating the Libson Treaty on Oct. 2.

A very interesting speech from the leading German legal EU-expert Prof. Dr. Karl Albrecht Schachtschneider (excellent synchronized English version)!

#1 of 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIzfZvKWOVw&hl=de

Schachtschneider is Professor for Law in Germany and
the leading representative of the Anti-EU-Movement in Central Europe.
He is a retired lecturer (eremitus) on state law and state theory and has become somewhat famous for challenging (successfully) the various attempts (Maastricht, EU constitution, Lisbon treaty) to promote a European Constitution on the grounds of those attempts not being compliant with the German Grundgesetz (Constitution). Schachtschneider is well renowned even amongst his critics.
