One of the explanations for the unseemly rush to get the Waxman-Markey Bill through Congress is that the warmists are on the back foot. The global warming tide is shifting against them and, before too long, their creed will be confined to the dustbin of history as yet another of those mad obsessions that periodically grip the masses.

The longer the warmists continue in their fantasy, the closer the December Copenhagen conference will get. And the more likely that their beloved conference will be a fiasco, as the Chinese & other climate change-sceptic governments tear the warmists' arguments to shreds. If Obama's US adminstration wants to be on the side of the fantasists, let it be so - & once again be revealed as being lost in dreamland! Joe Biden & Hillary Clinton have already had a go at him over his indecisive & weak response to Iran's stolen election & the officially-approved violence that followed it towards the opposition. Unless he wises up, they'll have plenty more reason to get at him before Copenhagen's December climate change conference! And if he hasn't learnt by then, he'll deserve every bit of their, & the rest of the US', ire!

I suggest that he be helped to attend. The ensuing debacle at the entrance door might just raise an eyebrow in one of the msm outlets to embarrass the conference organisers & show them up for the charletans they really are! I'll chip in £50 for a starter if needed!

From Las Vegas (very early in the morning...yawn); is this another swallow heralding the coming summer? In the bookstores on some US airports (Chicago, Las Vegas) the Obama-mania books have been relegated to the lower shelves. Instead the titles greeting the visitors are on the economic and political crisis - and the president is no longer an innocent bystander, far from it. PDT_Armataz_01_03

The science is under attack and rightly so. Science never stands still despite the protestations of politicians and lobbyists.

Specific to Australia perhaps the recent and very deadly bushfires were something of a turning point. Some of the blame was pinned on green policies resulting in a build up of fuel on the ground and the practice of not clearing trees from habitations, and even insisting trees be planted near homes.

Obama claimed that the average American would not bear the brunt of this historic tax-increase: he stated that instead “It is paid for by the polluters who currently emit dangerous carbon emissions.”

Just compare this outrageous falsehood to Ronald Reagans’ famous quote:

“The most dangerous myth is the demagoguery that business can be made to pay a larger share, thus relieving the individual.

Politicians preaching this are either deliberately dishonest, or economically illiterate, and either one should scare us.
Business doesn’t pay taxes, and who better than business to make this message known? Only people pay taxes, and people pay as consumers every tax that is assessed against a business.”

And after the way the rammed this through the House with little debate, without legislators even reading it… and while quarantining the GOP from any meaningful input whatsoever, any foolhardy individuals who still believe Obama’s threadbare “bipartisanship” spiel ought to have their head examined.
