MP Bill Cash has "some very serious questions to answer" in relation to his expenses claims, Conservative leader David Cameron said. This is according to The Guardian which reminds us that the MP for Stone, Staffordshire, claimed more than £15,000 in expenses to pay his daughter rent for her London flat.

You can't blame the guy. With a name like that you have to cash in. Just a matter of destiny. If you want to blame, blame the Lord.

I am sorry to see Cash in trouble, he has always seemed to have honestly held views and been a good MP. It is a sadness to see his name mixed up with this business about expenses

Pity about Bill Cash, he was on our side? Well almost.

I cannot see any MP being prosecuted to conviction, all they would have to claim is they would not receive a fair trial because of the publicity and any fair minded judge would have to kick the case out.

I wouldn`t be too distressed. He showed that when The Parties chips are down, he goes to the aid of the Party (Maastricht).

What good could he do in Parliament anyway ? maybe he will be of more use outside .

How do you mean Maastricht, Robin? Cash consistently voted against the treaty. If you mean that confidence vote that Major called completely against the rules, they were all snookered on that one.

He could have stuck to his guns, put country before party and at least abstained.

The whole process shows the pernicious effects of the party tribalism.
